14 Power - Head Coach BOBBY WALTON
14 Power - Head Coach
Bobby grew up in the San Diego area and went to school and graduated from San Diego State. He played on his high school volleyball team, and was chosen on the First Team All-League Team three times. Playing club volleyball, Bobby was a defensive specialist, setter and outside hitter.
He has coached middle school volleyball level in La Jolla and in Palo Alto area for nine years. At Jordan Middle School, he led his eighth grade team to the volleyball championship. Bobby coached at Kehilla High School and is currently the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at Castilleja High School. Bobby has coached club volleyball for the past six years – coaching both girls and boys – ages 12-17. Bobby looks forward to coaching at Stanford Juniors this season.
When not on the court, Bobby is also an avid basketball player. He has a continual craving for cakes and pies, and can be seen trying out different flavors of gum on the sidelines. -

13 Power - Head Coach MELISSA CHENG
13 Power - Head Coach
Melissa is a Bay Area native, and a 2013 graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising. Melissa competed as a setter at AAU and was part of the pioneer team that established the volleyball program there, which in her junior year became the first and only art school competing in intercollegiate volleyball on the NCAA level.
She attended Homestead High School in Sunnyvale, California, and was a setter on the Homestead teams that won Central Coast Section and Northern California championships and reached the State Championship in two consecutive years. Melissa also has extensive coaching experience at the high school, club level, and junior college in the Bay Area, most recently at Cañada College Redwood City, California. -

13 Power - Assistant Coach
Megan was born and raised in the Bay Area. She grew up watching her sister play volleyball and ended up playing it herself. She played volleyball at Homestead High School all four years, three years of which were on the varsity team which made it all the way to CCS finals each year.
She played at club volleyball for eight years, playing as an outside hitter - opposite and setter at City Beach the past 5 years. After graduating high school, Megan has been coaching volleyball clinics and she looks forward to coaching at Stanford Juniors!
In her free time she likes to dance, volunteer at animal shelters and play more volleyball! -

16 Premier - Head Coach
Maiquel McLeish currently attends Menlo College majoring in psychology. She graduated from Newport Harbor High School (Newport Beach, Orange County). Maiquel started playing volleyball in 7th grade and played volleyball, as well as basketball, and soccer all throughout high school. She played club volleyball for Orange County Volleyball Club and is currently playing Opposite on the Menlo College Volleyball team.
She started coaching with her high school team as an assistant coach for the girls frosh-soph and was the assistant coach for the boys frosh-soph team. Maiquel looks forward to coaching at Stanford Juniors and her ultimate career goal is to one day be a head coach at a division one university.
Outside of school and volleyball, Maiquel enjoys hanging out with her friends, going to the beach, snowboarding, and watching sports. Her favorite TV shows are The Vampire Diaries, Scandal, The Originals, Gilmore Girls, and anything on E!. She is really excited to coach with her Menlo College teammate Maggie McDonald. She can't wait to help our girls become the best athletes, volleyball players and young women they can be!! -
16 Premier - Assistant Coach MAGGIE McDONALD
16 Premier - Assistant Coach
Maggie McDonald is attending Menlo College and playing on the volleyball team as an outside hitter. She has been playing volleyball for the past 9 years. She attended Hillsdale High School in San Mateo and transferred and graduated from Notre Dame Belmont High school. At Notre Dame, she competed in the WCAL and her 2014-15 team won CCS Div IV title.
She played for highly competitive club teams including Vision and Red Rock Volleyball. This will be Maggie's first year coaching but she is super excited to impart what she has learned from playing the sport and being coached from some of the best coaches.
Maggie is a a very outgoing fun girl off the court. Her favorite tv shows are One Tree Hill and Vampire Diaries. She enjoys hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, and listening to music. -

14 Premier - Head Coach
Herman has lived in the Bay Area since 1997 moving from SoCal and prior to that from the East Coast.
His first full-time head coaching position was at Menlo-Atherton HS where he guided the 2002 JV team to a 2nd place finish in the PAL league. Since 2004, he has been at Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton) in various coaching capacities coaching the Freshman, JV and Varsity teams. In 2011 and 2013, the SHP Gators finished as California Division IV State finalists. He has coached at different clubs including Eclipse, SF Tremors, Storm, Paye’s and Academy of Volleyball where some of his teams have won regional championships. In 2011 and 2013, he was an assistant coach for the NCVA Select White teams that participated in USAV HP Championships in Arizona and Iowa.
He has attended USA Volleyball Impact, CAP I and Gold Medal Squared clinics as well as a few USA Volleyball's HP Coaches Clinics in Colorado Springs.
With a Chemistry degree, Herman has worked as a scientist for various local Bay Area biotech companies. A competitive bowler, he competes locally and regionally. -

12 Premier - Head Coach KAYA JOHNSON
12 Premier - Head Coach
Kaya was raised in a small town, Grass Valley, in Northern California. She was a varsity starter at Bear River High School that won two league championships and a section championship as well. Kaya was named MVP, and was named all-league setter. Kaya competed in various clubs including Cal-Synergy (now Synergy Force) and NCVC.
She is currently a junior setter competing in collegiate volleyball nearby at Menlo College. In college her team has grasped to Cal-Pac Championships.
Kaya enjoys hiking, watching Grey's Anatomy, and spending time with friends and family in her free time. -

12 Premier - Assistant Coach
Bailey Gamez is currently a student at Menlo College. She is a Bay Area native originally from Newark, California. She has been playing volleyball for eight years, and started playing club volleyball during her sophomore year of high school. She played club volleyball at Endline and is currently playing collegiate volleyball at Menlo College as an outside hitter.
She loves spending her free time with family and friends. Bailey also enjoys helping out anyway she can and especially helping girls fall in love with the game of volleyball. Bailey personally loves the game and will find anyway she can to share it with others. -
Stanford Juniors JACQUELINE HELER
Stanford Juniors
Jacqueline Heler grew up in Palo Alto and graduated and played for Santa Clara University. During her redshirt year, she began coaching for West Valley Junior College and Vision Volleyball Club.
Following graduation, she continued to play professionally in the top leagues of France and Switzerland for 7 years. Whilst in Switzerland, she completed a Masters in Counseling Psychology and a Masters in Leadership Psychology.
Towards the end of her playing career, Jacqueline began coaching again in the semi professional second division in Switzerland, at the University of Fribourg, and at the International School of Lausanne. She also began working as a Performance Psychologist at the EPFL in Lausanne.
In 2013, Jacqueline moved back to California with her husband to open a preschool. She is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, currently coaches at Castilleja High School and lives in Los Altos with her husband and baby girl. -
Stanford Juniors ROBIN JOHN ROSALES
Stanford Juniors
Robin grew up in Redwood City and went to college at UCSB where he graduated with a BA in Political Science. He is a video game industry veteran who has worked in the business development, sales, marketing and public relations fields for companies including PC Gamer, PlayStation Magazine, Ubisoft, the Microsoft Xbox launch and clients including Logitech, Electronic Arts and Namco.
Thoroughly passionate about volleyball, Robin has coached at various age levels from grade school to college teams. He coached high school volleyball at Woodside High School for five seasons where they had four CCS appearances and won back to back PAL Bay League titles. He coached at Sacred Heart Prep for two seasons where the JV team and Freshman teams had undefeated league seasons. Robin also helped coach at Notre Dame Namur University, a NCAA Div II team playing in the PacWest Conference. Most recently, Robin has been coaching various levels at Castilleja in Palo Alto, CA for both the middle school and high school JV and Varsity teams for the past five years which included the Varsity team winning the CCS Div V title in 2011. Robin also is coaching both the girls and boys volleyball teams at Jordan Middle School.
He has coached nine teams to the Junior Olympics / Junior Nationals. Last season his Red Rock 13s team earned a bid for Junior Nationals held in New Orleans, LA and his ARC Premier 16s team won every Premier league tourney in their region.
Robin and his longtime girlfriend Sally got married last year. When Robin is not on the volleyball court, they enjoy spending time together going to movies, hunting down and trying out various food trucks in the Bay Area as well as traveling to check out GIANT items and other roadside attractions.
